By instructor
| Instructor | Predicted | Raw | n | Terms | A range |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| COFFEY, KEVIN | 3.37 | 3.37 | 1,077 | 7 | 57% |

| DRAKE, JEANA | 3.42 | 3.47 | 15 small sample | 1 | 60% |
“Predicted” is shrunk toward the course average, which is itself shrunk toward the department — so an instructor with a handful of students sits near the course mean rather than topping the list.
